John Davion was born on July 9, 1930 in Derry, Louisiana, son of Davis and Alma Davion. He entered into eternal life on Friday March 12, 2010. He was surrounded by family at the time of his death.

He was predeceased by his wife, Easter L. Davion, father, Davis Davion, mother, Alma Vercher, brother, Brady Davion, sister, Bernice Jenkins, and son Carl Davion.

He was raised in Derry, Louisiana and later moved to Newark, New Jersey where he met and married Easter Louise Battle. They were blessed with four sons, the late Carl Davion, John Davion Jr., Nathan Davion, Arnold Davion and two daughters, Joan Davion and Yvonne Davion.

John Davion, a decorated Korean War veteran who received his bronze star, served his country with great pride.

John retired after 40 years of service from Linde Griffith Construction Company, Newark, New Jersey.

Fondly remembered as Daddy and Pop Pop, he was a hard working man, an artist and carpenter who was very creative. Daddy found use out of things others thought as useless. He also loved being king of his castle and he ruled it well. If you needed a hand with a project he was always willing to help. He will be fondly missed by all who met him.

He leaves to cherish his memory, three sons John Davion Jr. of Levittown PA; Nathan Davion of Philadelphia, PA; Arnold Davion (Monica) of North Brunswick; Two daughters Joan Davion of Woodbridge, VA; Yvonne Davion of Easton, PA; one grandson, Darnell of Union, NJ; four granddaughters; Canice of New Brunswick, NJ; D'onna of New Brunswick, NJ; Nicole of Philadelphia, PA, Aulani of North Brunswick, NJ., nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.
