Lawrence Allen Wright was born on June 18, 1969, son of Thelma Wright and Samuel Porter in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He lived in Elizabeth before moving to Newark 35 years ago.
Lawrence Allen Wright departed this life on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 in Trenton, New Jersey at the age of 40.
He leaves to cherish fond memories, his mother, Thelma Wright of Newark, NJ; his father, Samuel Porter of Elizabeth, NJ; brothers, Khalif Shabazz of Newark, NJ, Edward and Albert Hickman of Bishopville, South Carolina; sisters, Evenia Wright of Newark, NJ and Kia Porter of Elizabeth, NJ and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
We did not know the pain you had
Or hear your final sigh,
We only know your life was over
Without a last good-bye.
God knew you had to leave us
But you did not go alone,
For a part of each of us went with you
The night God took you home.
To some you will soon be forgotten
To others just a part of the past,
But to us who loved and lost you
Your memory will always last.
God gave us strength to face it
And courage to bear the blow,
But what it meant to lose you
No one will ever know.
