Haneef Rahim, aka Raymond Wayne Brown, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017 in Newark, New Jersey.

He was born on November 7, 1949 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, son of Helen Josephine Hopewell Brown and the late Arthur Lee Brown.

He was affectionally called "Rahim" and "Raymond" by his friends. Rahim spent his early childhood in Rahway, New Jersey where he attended elementary, junior and high school. He had many friends and was blessed with numerous talents.

He generally worked as a Laborer in his job field. In his later years, Rahim served as a Counselor, which he was very good at speaking to inner-city youth and educating them in the importance of staying in school and furthering their education.

Rahim is survived by his mother, Helen Brown of Columbus, Ohio; two daughters: Tracy Renee Bell of Rahway, New Jersey and Yameena Goodson-Drake of Dillon, South Carolina; two sons: Justin and Yameen Goodson of Dillon, South Carolina; two brothers: Harold Glenn Brown (Fai) of Chester, Virginia and Carl Brown (Michelle) of Newport News, Virginia; sister, Kim Michelle Brown of Glen Burnie, Maryland; seven granddaughters; six grandsons; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews , and a host of dear relatives and friends.
