Annabelle Johnson McIntyre was born to the late William and Anna Johnson on October 3, 1909 in the Prall Funeral Home in Roselle, New Jersey where her mother worked as a Housekeeper for Mr. Prall. Annabelle's was a life well-lived. She remained a resident of Roselle for 103 years. She graduated from Abraham Clark High School and Newark Normal School. She worked as a Teacher in Maryland and as a Supervisor and Federal Researcher for the Department of Defense in Springfield, New Jersey before retiring in 1972.

In 1890, Annabelle's father, William was among the founding members of Second Baptist Church in Roselle, New Jersey. She was baptized in the church by Rev. W. Scott on Easter Sunday in 1921. Annabelle was active and held many offices in the church proper as well as its auxiliaries and organizations. However, her first love was the Sunday school. She became a Sunday School Teacher while in High School and remained as such until she felt it was time to step aside because of her age. Annabelle continued to attend the adult class because she felt one could always learn more about the Bible. Her strong faith and belief in God kept her through many of life's trials and tribulations. Annabelle loved to travel. She toured Egypt, Israel, Hawaii and Alaska. She cruised the Caribbean many times extensively throughout the United States often with her lifelong friend, the late Ethel Pulley.

Annabelle's hobbies included sewing, knitting and crocheting. She was an excellent cook and baker; her family especially enjoyed her "famous" yeast rolls and pies.

Annabelle was predeceased by her husband George H. McIntyre on August 8, 1972 and in previous years by her five brothers.

She is survived by her children, George McIntyre of High Point, North Carolina; Samuel McIntyre, Mae McIntyre and Marian Cole of Roselle, New Jersey; ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
